Recommended 5th Wheel Bracket Kit For 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Short Bed

Question:
I have an 08 Ram 2500 short bed and a friend gave me his 15k draw-tite 5th wheel hitch #6030 and rails out of his 09 ram. I’m looking to see what mounting bracket kit will fit this hitch for my truck since his brackets were welded in and he sold his truck.

The bracket kit I recommend is the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50140 which are confirmed to fit your 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Shortbed and will not require any drilling in the frame of your truck.
You will also need the Replacement Hardware Kit for Fifth Wheel Base Rails - 10 Bolt # RP58430 to bolt the rails to your brackets as the hardware is one time use and should be replaced when the rails are being moved to a different vehicle.
