The correct replacement bracket/mount kit for a Westin # 31-5240 would be part # 31-524PK.
Keep in mind that not only are be brackets vehicle specific, but the bull bars are as well. So, if you're certain that what you have is a Westin # 31-5420, the bracket kit would work great on your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD.
