Using 2 Inch Accessory With 1-1/4 Inch Hitch Receiver

Question:

I have a bike rack that requires a 2 receiver. I drive a 2008 sonata. The only trailer hitch receivers that I find on your website for my car are 11/4. Help

You can only put a 1-1/4 inch hitch # C11325 on your 2008 Hyundai Sonata, but we can use something like this trailer hitch adapter # e93YR to convert your 1-1/4 hitch to a 2 inch hitch. With this adapter you will cut your weight capacity of the hitch in half since it's farther away from the original hitch tube. Make sure you do not exceed 100lbs on your rack.
