Hello, I am eyeing the draw tite hitch for the 2007 mitsubishi outlander, item number 13581. I would love to have a hitch on my car that could carry my 300 pound motorcycle using 51 lb rack I see that the tongue weight for this hitch is rated at 400 lbs. Does this mean I should be able to mount the motorcycle?

The answer to your question is yes, the Curt hitch # 13581 that fits your 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander, will be able to carry the combined 350 lb weight of your motorcycle and carrier due to its 400 lb tongue weight capacity.

The only thing you want to do is check the owner's manual of your '07 Outlander (I was unable to find a copy online) to ensure the vehicle has the same capability.

We recommend that all non-trailer loads (bike racks, cargo carriers, etc) should be supported by a stabilizing strap, such as # 18050.
