How Many Brackets & Weight Capacity On Westin E-Series Step Bars On 2012 Chevrolet Silverado Ext Cab
Updated 02/07/2013 | Published 02/06/2013 >
Question:
How many places does this set bolt to the frame. I have seen some that bolt on the ends with a brace in the middle and others that only bolt on the ends. Does this affect the strength of the step?

The Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars # 23-1680 has 6 total brackets for mounting: 2 front brackets, 2 rear brackets, and 2 center brackets, 3 bracket per side (front, middle, rear) of your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab.
These bars have a weight capacity of 300 lbs per bar. This set of nerf bars does come with a middle bracket due to the length and would affect the overall strength of the bar.
