Parts Needed to Power AC and DC Applications on an Enclosed Trailer with Shore Power

Question:

Hi I have an enclosed trailer and I’m looking for something specific maybe one of the rv power centers with the ac/dc and converter. I’m trying to do a fridge, microwave and air conditioning on a/c shore power but I also wanna be able to run interior/exterior lights, and water pumps dc through a switch on a pair of batteries ram in parallel. Could you possibly help me out with deciding what is the best route to go and how to do it. Thanks!

You are correct in that in order to power AC and DC units with shore power, you need a converter. The Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 45 Amp, part # PD4045KA, that you looked at is a good choice for this. I've linked to a video review of this converter and included a picture of a typical setup.

Keep in mind that you will need a power inlet to get the shore power. If you don't already have one, you can use the Epicord 30 Amp Twist Lock Power Inlet - White, part # 277-000137. I've linked to a video review of this unit as well.

Also keep in mind that you will need AC breakers and DC fuses. You will have to source these locally.
