Question:
I have a 2005 ford excursion diesel. I want to permanently install a maintenance charger in the engine compartment. Do you have any recommendations?

Best option would be a charger like the CTEK Universal Battery Charger part # CTEK56865 which comes with a quick disconnect that you'd run to the terminals of your battery which you could easily connect the charger to when needed. We don't have a charger that would permanently mount in the engine bay but this solution would accomplish what you are looking for as far as being an easy way to connect and disconnect a charger.
