Replacement Westin Grille Guard Mounting Hardware for 2004 Chevy Suburban 1500

The installation brackets for the Westin grille guards are vehicle specific, but a lot of folks don't realize that the grille guards are vehicle specific as well, so unless you're 100% sure that the grille guard you have came from a 2001-2006 Tahoe, Sliverado 1500 or Suburban 1500, the brackets will not be compatible with your grille guard. Westin doesn't mark part numbers on their grille guards, which makes this whole enterprise pretty difficult. To make things even more difficult, some of Westin's grille guards use different brackets if they were manufactured after 2006, so on top of everything else, you'll need to know when the guard was manufactured.

For instance, if you have a Westin Sportsman Grille Guard like # 40-0180 or # 40-0185 manufactured after 2006, the correct bracket/hardware kit is # 40-018PK.

To be honest, unless you're positive which grille guard you have and know what vehicle it came from, you'll be better off going with a new grille guard or bull bar that's guaranteed to fit. Aries offers an inexpensive bull bar as part # AA35-4001 which includes the mounting hardware and is a confirmed fit for your Suburban.
