Question:

what hitch do you offer for a 2018 subaru forester . I have a 1 7/8 ball and a receiver for a 1 1/4inch square from my old forester

For your 2018 Subaru Forester, I'd recommend the Curt Class II, part # C12100. Typically, I'd recommend a Class III hitch with the 2 inch receiver opening because with a 2 inch receiver you'll have a much larger selection of available hitch mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers, but if you'd prefer to use your existing ball mount from the hitch on your old Forester, the Class II would work just fine for you.

If you'd rather go with a 2-inch Class III receiver, I'd recommend the Curt # CU64FR. If you wanted to go that route, you'd need a # C45010 ball mount. If your existing trailer ball has a 1-inch diameter shank, you could reuse it, if not, I'd recommend the # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. You will also need a pin and clip # PC3.

For a trailer wiring harness, I'd recommend the # 118467 from Tekonsha.
