Reinstalling Rear Panel On Extang Solid Fold 2.0 For Toyota Tundra

Question:

The rear panel of my extang solid fold 2.0 came off. I dont think anything broke. It looks like it just snaps back on. It is 2 years old. I have taken the cover off the Toyota Tundra and tried to reattach the back panel to the middle one, but cant seem to snap it back into place. Any advice would be appreciated.

To reinstall the rear panel on your Extang Solid Fold 2.0 you will first want to make sure is laying on a flat, supported surface. You will need to use a T-20 Torx Head bit to remove the screws holding the end cap to your cover.

Next slide the panel onto the hinge from the side that you removed the end cap from. You will want to hold the panel at a 45 degree angle. With the panel reinstalled you will need reinstall the end cap.

If you struggle to slide the panel back on, take a close look at the channel on the panel to make sure it is not damaged and causing issues with the reinstallation.

If you need the replacement rear panel you can use # EX83475-62 as long as your Tundra is a 2014-2020 with the 5 1/2" bed using the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Hard Tonneau Cover.
