Placement of 5th Wheel Mounting Rails in Bed of 2001 Ford F250 Long Bed

Question:
I have a Reese 16K fifth wheel hitch and just bought some brackets from you guys... question is, is there a proper distance or recommended distance from the rear of the bed on a 2001 standard cab,f-250, 4×4, w/ an 8foot bed? Thank-you in advance!

There sure is!
Assuming that you have the universal install bracket/rail kit like # RP30035, the brackets would install so that the rear edge of the rear-most rail is 29-1/4 inches forward of the rear edge of the bed (not the tailgate) as shown in the linked instructions and provided diagram.
I've also linked to an installation video you might find helpful.
