The Aluminum Ramp Ends for 2 x 8 Boards # 288-07400 doesn't have anything special that holds the ramps to a tailgate and instead relies on the length and width of the plate, as well as the downward pressure applied by the weight of what you're loading to hold them in place. You could likely add some rubber padding or strips to the bottoms in order to provide a surface that won't slip as much.
