What drive train does the vehicle need to be to flat tow?

In general manual transmissions front wheel drive are the easiest to flat tow but there are some automatic transmission vehicles that can be flat towed as well. Specifically if it's a truck that has a manual 4WD gear box. All wheel drive vehicles tend to be harder to flat tow but it really is all vehicle specific.
