Air bags or suspension enhancement products are primarily designed to help suspend a load carried in the cargo area or bed of a truck, while weight distribution is designed to eliminate sag caused by trailer tongue weight applied to the rear of the tow vehicle.

In order to choose the correct weight distribution for your needs, you will first need to determine the fully loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of your trailer. To this figure, you will need to add the weight of anything you would stow in the tow vehicle behind the rear axle to arrive at your Total Tongue Weight. Since weight distribution systems are classified by the range of total tongue weight they are effective in, knowing this figure is crucial for choosing the correct system. I have linked you to an FAQ article that shows a few methods of determining your trailer tongue weight.

Due to the length of your trailer, I would recommend a system like # PS49583 and add sway-control # 83660. If you discover your tongue weight is less than 1000 lbs, I would recommend # 19286. For a tongue weight no higher than 1200 lbs, use part # RP66560. Both systems include the weight distributing but you would need to add a ball. Use # A-90 for a 2 inch or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch.
