Will the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Fit a 2003 Honda Accord LX 4 door

Question:

The problem is the car is in the shop so I cant measure it and I want to get a replacement rack for the one that got rear-ended. If you cant let me know for sure, I guess I will have to go to the shop to measure the 7-7/8 inch clearance myself. Thanks

I do not believe you will have any problem using the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack, # NV12G, on your 2003 Honda Accord LX, but it is always a good idea to measure for clearance before you buy a bike rack to ensure this rack will fit on your vehicle.

I cannot guarantee the exact clearance measurement on your specific vehicle, but we have installed a trailer hitch on a similar 2004 Honda Accord and the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the bumper was only 3-1/2 inches. The distance between the center of the hitch pin hole and the rear edge of the bumper can vary between trailer hitch manufacturers and vehicle model years which is why I recommend measuring for clearance on your vehicle before purchasing a bike rack.

Since the vehicle was rear ended, I would recommend waiting until repairs are complete before measuring, or at least ask the mechanic if the trailer hitch was affected in the accident because that could also alter the location of the hitch pin hole in relation to the bumper. If the trailer hitch was damaged in any way, I would recommend replacing the hitch because the structural integrity could have been compromised.
