Question:
I have a 2019 Subaru Outback. It has front and rear cameras. I would like to use this e9898978 kayak carrier, but to attach the front of the kayak to the vehicle with a stablizing rope I would have to use strap loops that are secured under the hood. Wont the tie down lines interfere with front camera operation? Like, confuse the cameras and create inadvertent braking or something Sorry- I tried to load a pic- looks like it didnt work. I am talking about tie down straps you bolt down to fender bolts under the hood. The rope extended from one thru the kayak bow to the other strap would potentially cross the field of view of the front cameras.

The etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount # e98878 is a great option and does take the camera interference out of the picture. Many vehicles will want to use this type of tie down because of that possibility especially if there are integrated speed sensors as well.
With kayaks you will only have one tie down on your hood per kayak so it shouldn't interfere with anything at all. You won't use a V-style like the photo you sent with the canoe. I've attached a video to assist. The J-style cradle will support the kayak and the tie-down in the front and back simply keep the wind from catching it too much.
If you want the bolt in style loops we have the Malone Hood Loops for Bow and Stern Tie-Downs - Qty 2 # MPG322 and if you just want more quick hood or hatch loops you can use the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps - Qty 2 # RRRBAS-2.
