Question:

# 1 I have a Tekonsha 90250 Prodigy Brake Control that I used with my MB Sprinter MH which has been sold. I am looking to purchase a used 2018 or 19 Chevy Express 2500 or 3500 Passenger Van that will be pulling the same trailer ! MOST Express Vans unless factory ordered do not come with hitches so I will need buy one from you to install on my own been there done that previously Even though my last Chevy Silverado a 2016 Work T ruck did not have a hitch it was factory wired in such a way that I could just plug into a existing connection at the back bumper rather that have to splice into it. Do you know If the Express Vans are wired in the same way or do I need to splice into its wiring ?? What is your part # for such a parts ?? #2 The trailer that I am pulling is a small 5 x 8 single axel trailer that originally did not have brakes and had only a 4 prong plug BUT due to the way it is used and the fact that I warped the axle which was replaced I had breaks added and mounted the 90250 controller to it . That trailer now has a 7 prong male plug !! So far so good !! BUT sometimes I pull it lightly loaded with my wifes 2000 Dodge Dakota that has a hitch BUT only a 4 prong plug. I, in theory, IF I had the right adapter that would adapt the 4 on my wifes truck to the male plug 7 on the trailer bypass the operation of the 90250 and in this instance work like two 4 prongs connected not applying the brakes which is what I want. Do you have such an adapter ?? I hope that this is clear enough Thank you !!

If the 2019 Chevy Express Van came with the tow package it would have 7-way wiring but if it did not then you'd need to buy a hitch and hardwire in a 7-way.

So you'd need to start with a 4-way like part # 118392 which is a confirmed fit and then convert it to a 7-way with the # ETBC7L and it would be ready to be used with your Prodigy RF for the Express.

Then if you wanted to tow the trailer with your Dakota that has a 4-way currently you'd only need the same # ETBC7L and you'd be set for the truck as well.

For a hitch for the Express the part # 14090 would be a great option as well.
