Will the BoatBuckle Trolling Motor Tie-Down Work With Any Trolling Motor

Question:
Will this work on a Motorguide? Saw a review that it doesn’t, looks universal to me.

The BoatBuckle Trolling Motor Tie-Down part # IMF15437 is a universal trolling motor tie-down which measures 13-1/2" long therefore I see no reason as to why it would not work with a certain brand such as Motorguide.
