Question:
How do i know if my vehicle has this installed already? I bought the trailer hitch and wire harness from you and need to know if I need to add something to control the brakes if i am towing a trailer with a braking system. Thanks so much

I was able to find your invoice and confirm you have the Curt 4-way trailer connector # C56192. This does not work without additional components for towing a trailer with electric brakes. You will need to upgrade to a 7-way and add a brake controller.
My recommendation for you is to use the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 12 Gauge Wires # ETBC7L which will connect to your existing 4-way and also add 12v power from your vehicle battery. Then you can use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional # C51180 which doesn't require any wiring within your vehicle under the dash and is a quality controller. This will give you the 7-way and brake controller needed.
