Question:
this truck does not have any trailer brake controller or 7 way wiring- had some sort of hydraulic brake attachments- with hoses to the bed I need kit s to install 7 way in bed for goose neck trailer, and trailer brake controller. I think I see what I need online- but want to order all the parts so my mechanic can install while he is working on some other issues. its a 5 speed, 4x4 1989 f350 XL reg cab with 7.3 diesel. it already has a goose neck hitch. but they used it for some weird farm trailer with hydraulic lines

To install a 7-way and a brake controller in your 1989 Ford F-350 you will need the 7-way kit part # 20023 a brake controller like the Brake EVN # TK63VR and a little more wiring.
For a wiring kit to install the brake controller to the 7-way you would want the Wiring Kit for 2 and 4 Brake Electric Brake Controllers # 5506. This will provide the power source and ground for the wiring for the brake controller. You will need to test the wires from the brake pedal switch of your vehicle to find a circuit that has voltage when the brakes are applied and none when not applied. This will be the circuit you will run the red wire to.
Finally you will need to run a length of 10 gauge wire (part # 10-1-1) from the brake output circuit of the controller to the brake output circuit of the 7-way (blue wire). The # 10-1-1 is sold by the foot so you will need to order a quantity of the amount of feet you will need.
