Question:

I have a 2010 Damon Astoria 3772 Motorhome. The driver side front slideout motor is getting really slow and probably needs replacing. I have narrowed it down to a couple of Lippert motors but cannot confirm which one. Can you determine which replacement motor that I need? Thank you!

Before replacing the motor, you'll want to make sure its receiving a full 12V and it's properly grounded. Those motors work hard, and if they're not getting full power because of a supply or ground power, they aren't going to work right.

The # LC386322 replacement motor assembly replaces the Kwikee assembly motor numbers 387738 and 386322. The other motor you'd looked at, part # LC138449 replaces a Klauber D-300 Slide-Out Motor.

For a replacement, the best way to specify the correct replacement motor is to get the manufacturer and part number off the existing motor. Unlike a typical passenger vehicle, knowing the year, make and model of a motorhome or RV won't help you find replacement chassis parts as they can vary greatly within the model year.
