Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend using the Rhino-Rack Vortex crossbar system for your 2014 Ford F-150 XLT. This kit includes the following:
59" Vortex Aero Crossbars - Black # RRVA150B-2 or Silver # RRVA150S-2
2500 Series Legs - # RRRLKVA
DK Fit Kit - # DK150
Then for a kayak carrier I recommend the Rhino-Rack Nautic # RR570 because it is designed around side loading like what you'll be doing on your F-150.
