I have searched multiple forums but couldnt get a clear answer. etrailer shows that this fits but can you please confirm?

Hollywood Racks has a great trunk mounted bike rack that fits your 2016 BMW X1 with the Over the Top part # HRF2 but I checked with Thule directly just now and the Passage you mentioned does not fit according to them.
