Does Fulton F2 Winch # F1413100334 Require Adding Grease Fitting
Updated 06/11/2024 | Published 06/04/2020 >
Question:
Is this jack truly maintenance free. Ive read some reviews on other sites that there has been a service bulletin stating that the owner needs to drill a hole and install a grease zerk. Id like to purchase it because it fits all my needs

There may have been an older version of the Fulton trailer jack # F1413100334 that you referenced that required adding a grease fitting but this jack does not require that. It would work well for you and not require any greasing or maintenance.

The fulton F2 failed after 2 seasons. I just tore it apart. The screw for the jack had completely rusted. I believe that adding a zerk fitting is the best option to keep it operational longer. Availability of gear packs does nothing when the main jack screw seized. I will buy another but I will definitely add a fitting. If you don't you should tear it apart every 6 months
