Maxxfan Deluxe 7000K Max Fan Input Voltage MA39FR

Question:
Im hearing all sorts of conflicting info on these fans input voltage requirements . Some say they have to have no more than 13.2 volts . Some say 13.6 volts others say they can handle all the way up to 16 volts . Mine shut down when about 14 volts was applied . Yet later ran up to at least 14 volts without shutting down . Called the company for a clarification and was told they shut down by design at around 13.6 volts . And they said there was only one PCB board built and no such thing as one running up to 16 volts . Yet some swear they received newer updated boards from the company that ran on 16 volts without shutting down .

The manufacturer (MaxxFan) would be the authority on the max input voltage of the # MA39FR. Since this was designed to be used on a 12 volt system a max voltage of 13.6 volts would be very reasonable all things considered. Some people may have gotten lucky with a 16 volt circuit that I would not consider that the norm and instead an exception.
