Question:

I am considering a Demco Tabless Base Kit for 2009 Honda Fit and was wondering what would be a good inexpensive tow bar that would work with that base plate. I also need a recommendation for a lighting kit and brake kit to connect the Honda and my Class 3 2019 Sprinter Forest River Forester.

The Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # DM9519236 is a great option for your 2009 Honda Fit. I recommend using the Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511012 with this that comes with the safety cables.

For your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 along with the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse # RM76511.

For your braking system I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251 which makes switching from driving mode to towing mode as simple as a flip of the switch. The # RM-88400 relay is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
