Trailer Hitch That Fits 2009 Volvo V50 R-Design

Question:
Hi, I am looking for a trailer hitch for a 2009 Volvo V50 R design. I see there are two. The draw-tite specifically says it wont work on the R design. Can you confirm the Curt model will work on the R design? Thank you,
