Is Rear Bumper and Gas Tank of 20196 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Removed to Install JIF54FR Stealth Hitch

Question:
Do you have pictures showing how it is attached to the vehicle. The Alfa dealer claims that to install a hitch they need to take the rear bumper and gas tank off.

They're half right. The Stealth # SH54FR Hitch requires that the rear bumper cover be removed to access the rear reinforcement beam. This beam is essentially the rear bumper. This beam is removed and replaced by the hitch, which takes its place and acts as the rear bumper. Once the rear bumper cover is reinstalled, the vehicle will be no different from the rear from a visual standpoint. The gas tanks does NOT need to be removed.
Stealth provides some really decent installation instructions that include easy to understand diagrams and color photos. I've linked the installation instructions for you, so you can view or print them out as you wish.
