Replacement Spring for Fulton 1500 lb Single Speed Hand Winch

Question:
Need to replace spring on subject winch which is about 18-20 years old. Cannot find model number stamped on winch. Please advise which spring to order. Thanks.

According to the folks at Fulton, a winch from that time period would have the model number stamped into the side or the bottom surface of the winch where it mounts to the winch stand. If it's not on the side, you'd need to remove the winch in order to see the model number. Fulton tells me that most but not all the 1500 lb capacity hand winches from that time period would use the # 4769-28 spring you referenced, but I wouldn't be able to say with certainty without a winch model number.
