Hi, what would you recommend for a 2012 Honda Civic sedan for my 18 y.o. son. I wanted him to be able to carry two kayaks. Something reasonable would be great.

We can get him set up with exactly what he will need. Starting with the rack I really like the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero System. It offers alot of bang for the buck and the 49" crossbars will help get those kayaks loaded. The systems consist of the three following parts.

For the carriers the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier part # e98878 is hard to beat. It includes all of the straps to secure the kayaks to the carriers and to the vehicle for safety. It even includes the padded hood and trunk attachments which come separate on most other brands. These are designed to fold down when not in use so he will not have to take them off and put them on each time if he chooses to.
