Does the Use of a Pop Up Camper Cover Trap Moisture and Cause Mold

someone told me not to cover my pop up because it would trap moisture and mold on the inside

Expert Reply:
You just have to use the right type of cover to avoid excess moisture build up on the pop up camper. A cover like # CA80042 that you have referenced has integrated air vents. This allows moisture to escape and it also reduces wind stress. I have linked the instructions for you.
If you were to seal off the camper with a regular tarp that did not allow moisture to escape you would be looking at a mold problem.
