Question:
Hello. I have a truck with a 2 1/2” receiver. I’m looking for a platform bike rack for two bikes. I have a flush mount reducer for using 2” hitches. I noticed that a lot of bike racks seem to have something more complex then just a hitch pin for anti rattle, I assume. Is there one you would recommend? Thanks

You are correct that it can be tricky fitting a bike rack meant for a 2" receiver to a 2-1/2" receiver, especially when it uses an integrated anti-rattle system. One other thing to note is that every bike rack company I've spoken with about using an adapter says that you can't use anything they haven't made otherwise it voids the warranty of the rack. The good news is that I have the perfect solution for you!
We have the Hollywood Racks Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" # HRHA-2 which was designed for your specific situation and it is built to accommodate the Hollywood Racks bike racks anti-rattle devices.
This then allows you to use one of the Hollywood Racks bike racks that has a solid 2" shank. If you have fenders on your bikes then you'll want the ratcheting arms that come over your frame like what we find with the Sport Rider SE2 # HR1450Z, otherwise the wheel mount TRS SE # HR3500 is a much better option. If you happen to have heavier E-Bikes then these are available for that as well with parts # HLY74FR and # HR3500E accordingly.
I've attached some review videos for you to check out. If you can let me know what bikes you have then I can let you know which version bike rack would be better for your application.
