The Cipa # CM11050 Rearview Boat mirror uses a glass lens. The suction cup mount would work on the windshield of your boat, but I'd recommend something that uses a more secure mount like the CIPA Comp II Rearview Boat Mirror # CM11080 because I'm not convinced that a suction cup mount would be the best long-term solution for you.
The mounting clamp is compatible with windshield frames from 3/8 - 1-1/4 inches thick, so it'll work with most windshields. This mirror also utilizes shatter proof glass for the mirror surface and the convex glass provides a better field of vision than a flat mirror.
I've linked you to a product description video featuring the mirror I recommended.
