Review of CIPA Mirrors CM11080

Today we're going to take a look at the CIPA Comp II Eleven Inch by Four Inch Long Convex Rear View Boat Mirror with the Windshield Mount. Now this competition boat mirror will give you full view of skiers or tubers that are in tow, for safe navigation on the water. The Comp II marine mirror features a four inch by eleven inch OE grade shatter-proof convex safety glass mirror surface, to provide added safety. Now in order for this glass to be considered of OE grade, it must utilize a technique that's called first surface coating. The first surface coating provides a high quality image that eliminates symptoms such as ghosting or multiple reflections. The convex mirror itself, the face of it provides a wide angle view, helps reduce any blind spots. You can see the mirror is installed in a nice impact resistant ABS plastic housing with a black finish.

It's very durable and rust resistant. Right up here, where the mirror attaches to the arm right here, it uses a ball-and-socket adjustment that will let you position the mirror for optimal visibility either up or down or side to side. Now this comp II marine mirror is universal in it's application and fit. It can mounted above or below the windshield. You can see right here, it'll clamp on with this adjustable bracket.

There's an allen bolt right here that you loosen or tighten, that will open this up to clamp it on. Now it is mounted to this pivot cup mount bracket right here. This will provide one hundred twenty degrees of easy adjustment. You just adjust it with this tightening knob, loosen it just like that and it opens up the teeth. Then you can see, you can rotate it up to one hundred and twenty degrees, whichever direction you need. Once you get it to the right position, just go ahead and tighten that tightening knob down and it'll hold it in that position. Now the clam shell clamp design fits most windshield trims and sizes.

It does even come with these rubber inserts. There is no drilling required for installation. The bracket will fit windshields from three eights of an inch up to one and a quarter inch in size. It can also be permanently mounted if needed. The quantity again, this is for one boat mirror with all the hardware.

The dimension again on this, we'll measure it, is eleven inches long and four inches tall. That should do it for the review on the CIPA Comp II Eleven Inch by Four Inch Long Convex Rear View Boat Mirror with the Windshield Mount.
