Is Lift Needed to Install Curt Hitch on 2017 Audi A3 or Drop Exhaust or Bumper Fascia

Question:
Is it required to lift or jack up the rear of the car to install the Curt 11399 on the Audi A3? Also, do any parts need to be installed, for example the rear bumper cover or exhaust? Thank you

I checked with Curt and to install the hitch part # C11399 on a vehicle like your 2017 Audi A3 it is not required that you jack up the rear of the vehicle. There's enough clearance at the rear of the vehicle. Nothing gets removed from the vehicle to install the hitch either like the rear bumper or exhaust. Thankfully the hitch just raises into position without interference. The only think you will have to do is enlarge some existing holes by drilling, filing, or using a rotary tool.
