My wife purchased a Thule Venture bike rack for our 2018 Jeep Compass. It had only been used a few times and is in wonderful condition. Upon attempting to install, I ran into some issues and am wondering if this model securely fits my vehicle. Your insight would be most appreciated.

The Thule Venture is a rebranded (for a different retailer) version of the Passage part # TH911XT that you referenced which Thule does not list as a fit for your 2018 Jeep Compass. This is why you are having issues fitting the rack to your vehicle.
The most similar 3-bike truck rack we have for your vehicle then is the Saris Bones part # SA805BL which will fit and work great.
