The Performance Tools Infrared Thermometer part # PTW89722 can be used to check body temperature but it's accuracy range isn't awesome when it comes to a few degree difference. It has a tolerance of +/- 2 % meaning at 100 degrees it can be off by up to 2 degrees. So 100 degree thermometer reading can be an actual temp of 98-102 degrees or a reading of 102 degrees could be 100-104 degrees so the accuracy isn't what you typically get with a standard type personal use type thermometer.
