Can Tow Dolly with Smaller Hitch Ball be Used to Move Trailer Around

Question:
I have a 2 in on my dolly but my trailer takes a 2 5/16. Could I use the 2in just moving around my driveway?

Yes, you can use a dolly like the # RA20 with a smaller hitch ball to move around a trailer that has a larger hitch ball. The trailer's tongue weight will keep the trailer on the ball and it will be totally fine and safe.

What about a 1 7/8 ball on the dolly for an airstream with a 2 5/16 hitch? Just the dolly for movement…not for towing, of course. Thanks!
