What is the usable space with stealth bars using t-track? Will the rr42114bf mount properly in width or do I need the larger 46inch bars? 2018 Subaru crosstrek

The Pioneer platform part # RR42114BF is just a little to wide to attach properly to the JA7973 kit that you mentioned. I do however have an excellent solution for you that will look nice.
It starts with using the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars part # RRVA118B-2 these are black so they blend in well and are 46" long. The leg kit RRSX100 these will connect the crossbars to your raised factory side rails. You can then connect the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform part # RR42114BF using the T-bolts. You do not need to use the universal bar clamps and will not use all of the included pieces for this installation method.
I would recommend however using the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars part # RR42115BF this one is 58" Long x 47" Wide so it will give you more usable space and also is just wide enough so you won't have the crossbars sticking out past the sides of the platform. You would use this with the same crossbars and feet as above.This would be my pick as far as the most appealing and useful combination for your Crosstrek. I've included a video of the bars for you to see what they will look like.
