Is there a time delay when using your brake going to your trailer? What is that time?

The time delay on the Draw-Tite Activator IV Brake Controller, # 5504, is not limited to one specific time setting, but can be adjusted from about half a second to a couple seconds. There is a sync switch on the side of the brake controller that allows you to adjust the time delay on a scale from 0 to 10. The time delay will activate once you apply the brakes in your vehicle.

You can override the time delay, if needed, by using the manual override lever. I have attached a video that shows how the time delay works on different settings for you to check out.
