I looked up the towing capacity of your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD and the lowest towing capacity it could have based on options is 13,000 lbs so a 8,800 lb 5th wheel trailer would easily be towable with your truck.

Since your truck has a short bed you'd need a slider hitch so that you'd have enough turning clearance to make sharp turns without cab and trailer nose interference.
