Question:
I need to get a trailer hitch and a bike rack for my 2005 Nissan Quest minivan. Im thinking of the hidden hitch for the trailer hitch and want to make sure I get a bike rack that works well with the vehicle and our bikes. Im looking for a rack that holds 4 bikes. Five would be OK, too, but I need at least four. Well typically have two adult bikes a mountain bike and a cruiser and two kids bikes. I was looking at the Yakima Double Down, but there are so many choices, Id appreciate some advice. We obviously want something that is easy to use, high quality and durable. Ideally it wont rattle or makes noises. Thanks

The Curt Class 3, 2-Inch Hitch, part # C13563, is a good choice for your 2005 Nissan Quest. It is a Class 3 2-inch hitch with a 3,500-lb towing capacity and a 300-lb tongue weight capacity. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the hitch.
For a 5-bike hitch bike rack the Thule Apex 5 Bike Rack, part # TH9026XT, is an excellent bike rack for your Nissan Quest. It has a weight capacity of 187.5 lbs.
Also, I am including a link to a product page that will show the most popular choices for a 4-bike hitch bike rack.
If you are planning on using the bike rack for children's or women's bikes, I would recommend a frame adapter like the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter, part # Y02531. This frame adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar post and provides a level attachment point so that the bike will not be carried at an angle on the rack. See the included link for the instructions and a video review on the adapter.
