Dimensions for Base of CIPA Universal Flag-Style Vehicle Mirror # CM12000

Question:
Im planning on attaching a side mirror to the driver side of my golf cart using the windshield metal frame which is 1 1/2inch square. Your drawing shows the base mounting bracket to be appx. 4inch long. Could you please tell me the width of the base? I would be mounting the mirror 90 degrees upright from the way it is shown in the picture. Im assuming it would swivel back and forth to adjust to the proper position for viewing. Thanks

According to our friends at CIPA, the base of the Universal Flag-Style Vehicle mirror is 1-3/8 inches wide, which should fit very well on your windshield frame.
The mirror is attached to the base using a ball-socket type arrangement that will allow enough range of adjustment so that it should work very well mounted in the orientation you describe.
