How Long is the Electric Brake Controller Pigtail Adapter For Tekonsha Brake Controllers

Question:

I went ahead and ordered the pigtail and a cargo net but still would like to be able to hook up the pigtail to prodigy pigtail supplied by nissan as a backup. Problem is the color coding. Dont know if you can help out but figured I would ask before i went to a trailer place.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers, # 3050-P and found that it is 31-3/4 inches long overall, including the connectors. I produced a short video showing the length of the adapter for you.

The # 3050-P harness is compatible with the Prodigy 2, # and all of the Tekonsha brake controllers in current production.

At this time the manufacturer lists this harness for the 2004 - 2012 Nissan, Armada, All Styles. This could change with verification of fit on newer vehicles.

The harness in your Armada might have an extra illumination circuit that is not used by any of the brake controllers we currently carry. This circuit will not carry over into the wiring harness for the brake controller because it is not needed.

I laid it out all of the circuits for you below so you can get the wires spliced correctly. The Nissan Armada wiring is marked and you should verify the wiring colors with your pigtail wiring colors so there is no confusion, since the wiring colors may change between different model years of vehicles. Nissan Prodigy R/G says Brk Sig (12 V signal from brake pedal) Red is the brake signal from the stop light switch B is ground (chassis ground) White is ground Br/W is Brk Out (output to trailer) Blue is trailer brake output to the connector at the back of the vehicle R/L is Ill (not used) Not used for brake controller r is fused B+ (12 V power to connector) Black is Battery + going into the brake controller If you have any other questions, just let me know, I will be glad to help.
