Question:

I am trying to find j hooks that will fit the tracrac 4 inch crossbars. I would like to carry 4 kayaks on the rack. Is there any that are made for the tracrac system or any that accommodate the 4 inch wide crossbar? Thanks in advance

In order to mount a j-style kayak carrier on a TracRac Truck Bed Ladder Rack you must use one that mounts inside channels, the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Carrier part # TH849000. The reason for this is because the TracRac Truck Bed Ladder Racks have crossbars which are too large for wraparound style carriers. The Thule Hull-A-Port only holds one kayak so it would be rather expensive to carry all four which is why I recommend the Rhino-Rack Nautic Stack Kayak Carrier part # RRS520 as an alternative solution that will let you carry up to four kayaks and can be mounted inside a channel.
