where under the dash is the conection to get power to my brake control

On a GMC Acadia, there is a trim panel below the dash and above the brake pedal. You will start be removing this panel carefully. There is a light attached to it so pull it down slowly so you do not break the light.
With the panel out of the way, look for the connector to the left of the steering column taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. The harness has a plug on it that mates with the connector on harness # 3026-P.
