Roof Rack for 2017 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab with Naked Roof

Updated 02/03/2020 | Published 02/01/2020

Question:

2017 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab that already has A.R.E cap w/tracks and Yakima Skyline w/round bars. Will this Rhino ditch mounted TRACK RRRTC8JWMY11 fit the cab of my truck and accept a Yakima Skyline tower? Thanks.

While we have some good options for a roof rack on your 2017 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab with a naked roof, the Rhino-Rack tracks will only fit Rhino-Rack feet so they aren't compatible with your current Yakima towers.

The best option is a roof rack from Rhino-Rack that does not require drilling to install tracks in your roof and is also more budget-friendly than using your Yakima bars with a track system. It would require the following:

- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2
- Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLKVA
- Custom DK Fit Kit for 4 Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Legs - Naked Roof # DK330

You can use your Yakima round bars like the 48 inch # Y00408, but you would need the Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126, an order of two of the Landing Pad 1 for Yakima Control Towers - Qty 2 # Y00221, and an order of four of the Replacement Yakima Control Tower for Factory-installed Tracks (QTY 1) # Y8890027.

I have added links to instructions and a video review for you to check out as well.
