Expert Reply:
The Blue Ox # BX2667 base plates are designed to fit on the 2015-18 Ford Edge, but not the Ford Escape. From what I was able to determine from my research, the 2017 Ford Escape is not able to be flat towed behind a motorhome/RV. For this reason, you will need to tow it with a tow dolly like the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes # DM9713093. Towing your Escape with 4 wheels down can damage the transmission on your vehicle, so using a tow dolly is the only available solution.
