Does Center Point Tandem Axle Equalizer Kit Require Using Included Longer Shackle Straps

Question:

I have one of your 1565391 air bag systems for my Outdoor RV Mountain Series 5th wheel trailers. My question is, the OEM Shackles bolt hole centers are ~2. The Shackles provided with the kit are 4inch and 5 1/4. Will the additional two inch length provided in the shackle effect the installation? Or, should I use the OEM shackles for this installation?

When you install the Lippert Components Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade # LC1565391 you do have to use the included shackle straps that are longer than what you have now in order for everything to fit properly and have the needed clearance. This will add 2 inches of height to your trailer but aside from that nothing else would be affected. You will get a much smoother ride quality from your trailer.
