Rear View Ski Mirror for Pontoon or Tritoon

Question:
What model of rear-view mirror would you recommend? I assume it would need to be mounted on the side rail square tubing rather than the small Plexiglas windshield. Thank you

I recommend # CM01877. This mirror has the height required to get up and over the obstacles that are typically on the rails of tritoons and pontoons. It has the convex mirror face to give a nice wide field of view saving your neck from trying to look side to side and aluminum construction to help keep the corrosion to a minimum out there on the water. You need to mount it on the rail generally just to the right of the captain's chair. It has been designed to work with rails up to 1 1/4" thick so should work out in most applications. When working with customers on these they seem to be very well pleased and I haven't had any complaints with the mirror at all.
I have included a video link for you to check out that Cole did highlighting the specs of the mirror if you'd like a more detailed explanation of the different specs. Enjoy and happy boating!!

What would you recommend regarding installation so that the set screws do not scratch the bottom of the rail if mounted in this way? Is there room for a thin piece of plastic or metal that could protect the etching as the set screws are tightened?
